Heather Pace and Philip McCluskey stopped by my house a few weeks ago and we recorded this great video on how to make a raw apple pie. Heather is a raw chef who specializes in raw deserts. I just finally got around to uploading it for you!
This recipe is one of the easiest raw desert recipes to make. It also tastes amazing! Enjoy and let us know you think by leaving your comments below!
Apple Raspberry Pie Recipe
Crust:
2 cups pecans
1 cup walnuts
¾ cup pitted and packed, medjool dates
1. In a food processor, combine all ingredients until they become crumbly. Press half of the mixture into a 9” pie plate.
Filling:
2 cups raspberries
6 medium sized apples, separated
½ cup pitted and packed, medjool dates
¼ cup raisins
2 tsp cinnamon
1. Sprinkle the raspberries over the pie crust.
2. Peel and core all apples.
3. In a food processor, puree 2 of the apples, and remaining ingredients, until smooth. Pour this mixture into a bowl.
4. Chop the other 4 apples into large chunks and then process into small chunks in a food processor, making sure NOT to puree it into applesauce! Add to the puree.
5. Spread this filling into the pie crust.
6. Top with the remaining pie crust, sprinkling it over the tip like crumble.

Hi, is your dessert recipes can be eaten by diabetic person? thanks. . .
Hi Folks,
As an RN who deals with diabetic patients ( and staff members) on I daily basis, I can’t thank you enough for the information that you are sharing. Over the past year I have increased the raw factor in my diet. You have inspired me to further increase my raw/cooked ratio. Today I have watched two of your videos; making sushi and apple pie. I wonder why in both recipes, foods are peeled, ie apples & cucs. My understanding is that the peels contain valuable fiber and nutrients. I have ordered your video Alex, and I praise you for going public with your passion. If there is ever anything I can do for your organization, please don’t hesitate to write. Thank you, Pamela ( a Connecticut Yankee in the mountains of Arizona.)
Amazing recipe. Thank you for sharing this with us. I would definitely give this one out a try as I have a party coming up. Hope everything would turn out ok. Would let you know. Kudos!
All these pictures look so attractive and very good to the eye? But is this all healthy? What about sugar contents. My husband is a sweet tooth but a diabetic.
